Our Lord Jesus gave stern warnings against false teachings. Here are some of them:
Mat 7:15      "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
Mat 24:11    "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.
Mat 24:24    "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
Mar 13:22    “for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect.
The Apostle Paul also gave similar warnings:
2Cor 11:13   “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
Gal 2:4         “But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us into bondage.
2Thes 2:11   “For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false …”
The Apostles Peter and John also gave similar warnings:
2Pet 2:1       “But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
2Pet 2:3       “… and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.
1John 4:1     “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
As we go through this study we will see how often the enemy has used deception to try to destroy YHWH’s eternal plan of salvation and restoration of His wonderful creation, and the people whom He chose to be His messengers of that restoration. May the Lord open our eyes to see and understand TRUTH, and by understanding it, to be able to walk with confidence on that beautiful narrow road, our eyes firmly fixed upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
May TRUTH win through in the end.
